 This is NOT a Test.
If you need a bike mechanic, fellow member SuperChickenCornerMonster is your man.
I overfilled my bike by 2 quarts of oil. It started smoking an bit and stalling. I heard so many different opinions of what it could be. Blown Gasket, O ring, etc...
I did as much as I could to try to fix it. Oil change, clean the plugs and filter but still no luck.
The bike kept stalling. So , I decide to take her in to see SuperChickenCornerMOnster.
I told him the symptoms the bike was having and went over the possible problems it could be. We were going to run a compression test on the bike and go from there. I got to his place and he took the bike for a spin. Came back with a grin and asked if the monkeys were testing him.
Turns out it was a simple idle screw adjustment and nothing more. No charge for his assessment and services. He even polished up my bike and offered me a beer. In this day and age you have got to appreciate honesty and integrity in this business.
All I have to say is that I was impressed and that I have found my mechanic. He could have easily made up some bull and I would have never known.
If you need a mechanic, you need to see this guy. I watched him work on another bike earlier and I could tell he takes pride in what he does.
Big ups to SCCMonsta!!

Someone on 600rr.net said there was an oil overflow tube on the bike. So I looked for it and thought I found it. So, monkey see monkey do. Turns out there is no overflow tube on the bike. But the deed was already done.

Unfortunately we're not all within range of SCCM. If you're in the Pittsburgh area you see Ken at South Hills Cycle. www.southhillscycle.com
He's a stand up guy that does quality work within your price range. I think the only difference here is that Kenny would never stop busting your balls for that.

I think the Kawi 636 has this (coworker has one)... I didn't see this on your bike but I just saw it that one time...

What everyone needs to understand is that when there is a problem with your ride (Car, boat, bike, airplane,,,,,) and you go on a chat room, you have to expect millions of answers that are going to be spat off. There is alwasy that shot in the dark answer that will fix whatever haunts you, but ultimately it is up to you to decide what the proper troubleshooting process is. I am EXTREMELY glad that people on this site do not act like people in the automotive world. I use to get yelled at all the time on the phone because I did not have the magic fix for someone that had trans issues or major motor issues. And the best of all was the "Why is my check engine light on?" DEE-DEE-DEEEEEEE!!!!! My best advice for anyone that is having major problems with anything mechanical,,, and you are not mechanically inclined!!!!,,,,, is to take it to someone you trust or find someone you can trust. My props to SCCM for his ability to find a simple solution to what seemed to be a major issue when the thread first started. And many thanks also go out to him for keeping up a good rep for those of us that are in this industry. Your honesty and trustworthyness is greatly appreciated.
BTW SCCM will you be able to attend the cookout/ maintenance day on August 4 here at my home (Richmond)? You help would be awesome as I hope there will be alot of people here and I sure alot of questions to be answered.
